One of my best holiday memories about aged 14 was to visit Macroom when we were on holidays in Kerry one year. We damned our parents to bring us to the factory, and having collected a large number of moulds and figures already this was like a trip to mecca.
We arrived while the factory was on holidays, which turned out even better for us, coz things were quiet, we got brought around the entire factory, saw how moulds were made, where figures were designed and painted. And to top if off we got to buy 'seconds' of the moulds we wanted at a bargain price. That was the first of many visits !

Well, if you like miniatures you can't exactly live in Ireland for 4 months and
not visit Mithril/Prince August, so I managed a day away and hunted down their
factory store (no easy feat since they are in a very small villiage). I don't
think I can praise them enough. I got a nice tour of the factory, and the
people there were amazingly friendly. They have probably the cheapest Vallejo
of all (less than 2 Euro, probably works out to $1.50 US), and of course they
make some really nice Tolkien figures. As icing on the cake, they even shipped
my own painting supplies back with my order!

I'm glad to see that the Napoleonic range is ever increasing, now getting into the personality figures.
Napoleon looks great on his charger, surveying the battlefield, complete with trench coat for the wet weather.
The only problem with this figure is that you only want one per
battlefield.
What I was thinking was that the kit would be useful for conversions by
using other PA Napoleonic heads, for example you could have a mounted
Grenadier Officer, Line Infantry Officer, Dragoon, Marshall (using the Drum
Major), Chasseur a Pied, all lined up with their Emperor above the
battlefield, all with their wet weather gear.
I'm not sure how a head from a Prussian of the 7 Years War would go, but it
could also work for Dragoons of that era too !!!!
The Bandsmen you sent to me earlier this year are looking GREAT, I have
made up a small band of 18 figures so far, and they will be exhibited on my
website as soon as the film in the camera is finished. I will be casting
some more Grenadier Drummers for a second row of 4 to build up forces.
