Chronopia Stygian - The Starved 4 figures:
To many of the younger races, the Stygian Warriors all
look alike, only their weapons telling them apart. One of
the few Stygian creatures that are clearly recognizable
is that of the Starved. These monsters are gaunt in appearance,
visibly emaciated and seemingly frail. This couldn’t
be farther from the truth as the Starved possess a strength
born of absolute desperation. Failed or flawed warriors,
the Starved are denied any privileged treatment within the
horde. Their thinness belies a primal need to feed and they
are no less vicious for it.
Deprived of sufficient sustenance, they feed solely on
the battlefield, devouring their victims with relief. Attacking
with savage abandon and feasting furiously on the flesh
of their victims, Starved warriors often cease their battle
to enjoy their fresh kills. There seems to be no end to
the eating however, as they are never sated by a meal and
seem to gain no benefit from the food other than the briefest
of satisfaction. What these warriors did to be so cursed
by their Goddess is unknown but research and observation
revealed that the Starved are poorly treated by the rest
of the host and are seemingly being punished for some transgression.
Starved warriors are by nature desperate and will not retreat
from battle in spite of the odds. When a host concedes the
field, it is usually the Starved that covers their withdrawal.
